This recipes is a very popular snack in Japan, which you can easily make at home for your next dinner party as an easy finger food.

| 15ml mirin | |
| 1/2 tsp salt | |
| 270ml water | |
| 5g kombu | |
| 1 tbsp white sesame seeds | 
Steps
| 1 | Prepare the lotus root chips: | 
| 2 | Mix the sunflower oil and sesame oil in a bowl and soak the lotus root slices. Place on the grill tray and bake in the oven at 220 degrees for 15 minutes. | 
| 3 | Take out of the oven, place on kitchen paper. Salt lightly. | 
| 4 | Prepare the rice:  | 
| 5 | Form and grill the rice: |
