Pear Chutney with Honey Recipe

Chutney made out of pears with honey and cognac. Fits perfectly to a cheese platter or bread.

3 pears medium size
50ml cider vinegar
70g honey e.g. acacia honey
50ml cognac
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 lemon
salt
pepper

Steps

Peel the pears and remove the seeds. Cut them into small cubes and add the lemon juice.

Add the diced pears into the bread pan of the breadmaker. Add the cider vinegar, honey, sugar and cognac. Salt it slightly.

Select the programme for jam (Croustina: programme 18) and set the time to 1h 30min.

When the chutney is done, pour it into a bowl and season with pepper. Mix gently. Let it cool down and place it into the fridge.
(The chutney will keep for 3 days in the fridge.)

Tip: The pear chutney fits perfectly to cheese or foie gras.
